Dale Cook, coming from Chattanooga Tennessee, started Weigh-Tec, Inc. in 1992 as a one-man operation. Operating out of Huntsville Alabama, he established a customer base, and added another technician within 2 years time. With a single goal in mind, of becoming one of Alabama's best scale companies, Dale got down to the business of selling and installing new equipment

. Ranging from high precision balances and hopper scales, all the way up to the heaviest capacity truck and/or rail scales, then setting those customers scales up to be inspected at regular intervals, to avoid major problems, and answering emergency calls around the clock, he persevered.

In order to provide a better response time, and become more centrally located to service his customers, Dale relocated Weigh-Tec, Inc. to Decatur Alabama.

Step by step, Dale has worked to make Weigh-Tec, Inc. grow into what it has become. Weigh-Tec Inc. now has three fully trained technicians, and qualified office personnel to meet customer's needs.
